Subject: Wrong part delivered despite VIN provided - supplier charging handling & collection for own error I, Andile Christopher Mashaba ID ***, purchased a side mirror for my vehicle: Vehicle: 2026 VW Polo Vivo 1.0 TSI GT (5DR) VIN: *** Reg: *** (new car, temp permit expires 3 Oct 2026) Supplier: Africa Boyz Date of order: 18/09/2026 Amount paid: R 2500 via EFT Invoice No: *** I provided my VIN before purchase to ensure correct part. Supplier delivered mirror for Polo Vivo 2018 1.4 which does NOT fit my 2026 GT model. When I reported wrong delivery, supplier demanded 20% handling fee + R250 collection fee for the wrong mirror they delivered.

We’re sorry that you’re unhappy with the outcome of your order, but we would like to clarify some important context.
The mirror was quoted using the vehicle information provided to us, and a sample picture of the actual mirror being supplied was sent for confirmation before the order proceeded. The mirror subsequently delivered matched the sample that was provided.
Automotive parts can also cover a range of model years, which is why we request confirmation of sample pictures, functions and specifications before supplying certain parts. The mirror supplied falls within the applicable model range; it was not simply a mirror selected for a 2018 vehicle instead of your 2026 vehicle.
Despite the part being supplied according to the quotation and sample provided, we approved your request to return it for a refund. As a further gesture of goodwill, we reduced our standard 20% handling fee to 15%.
We also advised that you are welcome to return the mirror to us using your own courier, in which case no return collection fee will be deducted and only the reduced 15% handling fee will apply.
We understand that this is not the resolution you were hoping for, but we believe we have offered a reasonable return solution considering that the item delivered was the same item presented for confirmation before supply.
