Spirits of Africa studio in Hout Bay

We booked 6days at this studio in Hout Bay. When we arrived, we found quite a lot of discrepancies with the photos on the internet. We pointed this out to our host-leaking sink, no tv, open electrical wires, damp in cupboard, holes in carpet, dirty pool etc. Two old towels-had to ask for clean ones etc. In fact, not as pretty as is was supposed to be. Took this up with Airbnb. No joy. Got an abusive WhatsApp from the owner really getting into our characters and labelling us as a “SAD” couple. We should smile more according to her and enjoy life. If she saw me twice in the time we were there and my husband three times, it’s a lot. Overall not a good experience and abuse is totally uncalled for. We never attacked her personally, but pointed out the faults in her accommodation. When one pays for service, one expects just that.
