Don’t service vehicles properly

I approached Afn auto electrical in Krugersdorp to service my vehicle about a month ago. Took my vehicle in on the Wednesday and was completed by the Friday all seemed fine until a month later when I broke down. I drive a 2.0Tdi audi . What happen was the cam belt snapped a part I’m sure should be checked during a service. I had done maybe 1000km since the service when this happened. My car got towed in with endless damage to the motor around 35k and when I approached afn about this they simply responded with they take no responsibility for the vehicles they maintain once they leave the premise. So basically as I understand having your car serviced there doesn’t assure you that it will keep running even tho you maintain your regular services
