I contacted the company in June for pricing to install a system for my home. I wanted to get off grid as much as possible. Ben provided me with a quote within a few days. We agreed and proceeded with the install.

My house is a thatch roof, which meant his guys had to build a platform for my panels, they did this impeccably and with the most refined workmanship.

It took just over a week to install my system, which included a solar pool pump and conversion on my geyser to solar. The first few days there were issues with my system, but these are technical things, they handled it professionally and promptly.

Ben did not hesitate in sending out people to assist in resolving the technical issues to get my system to run smoothly. He installed 28 panel for me, a Hybrid inverter and 20.4kwh battery packs.

My house runs on the system he installed without fail and with power to spare, which is impressive as I have a large house and 2 teenagers in the house.

During the installation, he warned me my old air cons would be an issue with the system, so on his advice I purchased newer ones which are inverter types and I can easily run both without running out of power.

Since the install, I did notice that the solar conversion on my geyser - Works brilliantly during the day and for the first 2 showers in the evening, but was not providing enough warm water for a family of 4 in the evening. I decided to install a gas geyser which works in conjunction with the solar geyser (it only switches on when the water from the solar is not at a predetermined temperature) this resolved my hot water issue and has made my life so much better.

They also installed my solar borehole pump. Which we still busy sorting.

All in all, I can honestly recommend Affordable Power Solutions with great confidence. They are eager to help, hear you out in the middle of the night if you dumb with your system and guide you or come fix it for you. Bigger companies lack that after sales personal service these guys offer all their clientele
