60% Depoisit No Service

I requested a quote for plumbing repairs, also asked to have an irrigation timer sourced and installed. Afordable Plumbers Company Reg CC2003/091982, Vat No *** requested a 60% deposit to start the work. I paid the 60%. 3 Weeks later I was still begging them to come do the work. Then it was one excuse after another ranging from car accidents to will do it the weekend, then it was the following week and so on. So far 10% of the work is done. I have asked for a refund minus the 10% Already done. Pieter Swart had ensured me in writing that a refund would be made on the 21st Aug 2015. Today I phoned his office to verify where is the refund, only to have Dollie Swart inform me she has not been given instruction to refund me. To my amazement, after the call to Afordable Plumbers, the call was not disconnected, where I had quite an earful on how they view me as a customer, and that I can take a flying leap and see them in court, language atrocious. Shocking to actually hear how this company views their customers, and not take customer complaint seriously. Word of caution, once you pay the deposit, the work may never be done.
