AFFORDABLE BRANDS, A ****!! TAKE YOUR MONEY, NO GOODS just want MORE MONEY!!

<p>After browsing the net for a fridge to find affordable prices, I happened across this website; affordable brands advirtised on OXL. I enquired via text about the product availability and received a text directing me to go to their "website" which i did. Honestly, I had no reason to doubt any of it wouldn't be above board. I received an invoice and a guy at sales called to tell me once payment was made i'd receive the fridge on the next day if not the following day after.</p> <p> </p> <p>I still had no reason to believe any of the transaction was a ****. Heck I even started browsing and making enquiries about other products. One of the days of delivery was a Saturday and that passed. On Monday I called to ask about the fridge and I was told the courier would be in touch. Now my spider sense started to go off. First off, every time, I was the one to initial contact with regard to the delivery and any update with my now paid for fridge. Then all of a sudden, AFFORDABLE BRANDS had had to import the fridge from their branch in Ghana and now my product was stuck at customs and I was responsible to tax clearance fees and the courier company emails me with banking details no less. No one bothered to call and tell me the fridge was now out of stock and that the option would be to get it from a different country to which i would have to pay additional fees. Again, when I call AFFORDABLE BRANDS, they tell me its no longer their responsibility and that I should just pay the courier and the fridge would then be delivered.</p> <p> </p> <p>I requested that they mediate the delivery and because my transaction with them had gone without difficulty, that they vouch for me and I would pay the tax clearance fees and I got the run around which amounted to no response really other than they "understand" my frustastion and now distrust.</p> <p> </p> <p>I never recieved my fridge. Instead, the courier company which i believe is just another hand of the same brand call and emails to tell me that the fridge will be sold at auction by the end of december. And again, if i just pay they added amount, that they will deliver.</p> <p> </p> <p>They are ************!! No company in good standing can /would/should allow for that kind of treatment of their customer. For one, the consumer act is very clear about one's rights. Until i have received my goods; the deal still exists between the two parties. Even if they are a legitimate service/product rendering provider; try to cover they behinds with their policy and terms & conditions on their website, they still fall so far short of what is right or correct under the law (never communicating with the customer (me) on details of the goods, never updated me on changes or goings on of the goods).</p> <p> </p> <p>If you are reading this review, DO NOT purchase from them. They take your money like the ****ers and ********* they are!!!</p>
