Claim for damages to car

Good day,

On Sunday, 01-10-2017, I was involved in a car accident which have me stranded at the moment of the review. At the time i was not aware of any injuries to myself but however the next day (Monday, 02-10-2017) i could not properly stand on my right leg, this was after i raised the claim with Affinity Claims department.

After submitting my claim early this morning (03-10-2017), it has been a battling story getting through to the claims department. I speedily submitted all required documents in the hopes that I will be helped in a similar fashion.

I received no response for an hour and then decided to give them a call in order to get an understanding of what happens next. I at was placed on hold for more then 20mins, then I tried calling again and this time no one answer, only the music playing in an endless loop. I then tried again with frustration building up as the music playing again until someone eventually picks up and i have to be transferred to someone else that was dealing with my claim. I was then informed of a 3-4 working day period which i will then be informed of when could get a courtesy vehicle.

Upon taking the insurance policy with Affinity Underwriting Managers I also have a car rental agreement that should enable me to get to work as I depend solely on my own transport. This could have real disciplinary actions against me for not being able to perform my daily work.

It has been hours since i received any notification on how far the claim process is. It is my understanding then that you people will provide me with a courtesy car by Friday. It is really a terrible disappointment to receive this kind of service as a loyal paying client. Not once have i skipped a premium and then you think its fair to receive this kind of treatment.

Still no satisfaction from Affinity Underwriting Managers claims department. I kindly request that you follow up with the assessor as I face the risk of losinf my job. I mentioned at the beginning of the claim that I use my vehicle for business and private use therefore I cannot be without a vehicle. For the past 3 days i had to rent a car from Europcar in upington, impacting on the money I have available for whatever access I need to pay, which I believe is about R1000. I will be sending the invoice soon so that you can refund this unnecessary expense. I am not going to lose my job because of AAA CLAIMS incompetence.
