Affinity insurance not above board

I am not really impressed with the way thry handled my claim. When I took a cover with them they charged me extra if I wanted my excess to be less, which I was glad to do cos not everyone has 6K waiting around. And when I put in a claim they told me the R1K excess only kicks in when the claim amount is above all the ecxesses. I don't have any fight left in me after the big operation i've had. But I will be on the lookout for a new insurer or even go back to A&H whom I was with for 12 years. No hidden terms.
