Third review on Affinity Health

I recently asked my father to assist me regarding my issues with affinity health, solely because i was tired of being bul**** by affinity. Now I have been informed that the complaints that my father published for me where invalid because they where not posted by me directly. I always thought that hello petter was there to give a voice to the public, but now I have come to learn that they are rather there to protect their paying customers ( Affinity Health) I do not ask for much from Affinity Health, yet the little I ask for is met with ridicule, neglect and disregard. I have left multiple reviews and emails( or rather my father has on my behalf) each and every detailed and effort filled review has been removed and every email ignored.

I now will repeat myself fur the third time in an attempt to reach some sort of understanding.

I previously posted a negative review/complaint on Hellopeter regarding Affinity Health, there was an instant reaction to my complaint from one of their complaints managers. She was very helpful and assured us that she would investigate our case. This venture of hers lasted all of two days. The moment our review was removed from HelloPeter, due to pressures Affinity Health app**** to Hello Peter (as a paying customer), we heard no further from them.

The representative of Affinity health who helped us admitted to us that Affinity Health did supply their customers a payment holiday for the first three months of lock-down. She then argued that after the three months lapsed, they would no longer offer any assistance, not even to loyal customers who did pay in full during the three month payment holiday.

I find this rather deplorable because any reasonable person would understand the situation. During the first three months of lock down, people were still hopeful, wishing and expecting for this economic crisis to end soon, therefore loyal customers like me paid their premiums in full despite the pandemics economic disruption. However as the time passed we all came to realize that the COVID19 Pandemic would have long lasting financial implications and thus many employers had to retrench their employees AFTER the three month "window".

Therefore many caring and reasonable medical schemes offered different and varied types of assistance to their members, even after the " three month window". For instance Discovery Health will not be raising their premiums as of the first of January.

Despite the fact that we discussed this issue with them in detail they chose to rather remove our comment and disregard our complaint entirely, this not only shows a lack of morality but also a lack of loyalty to their members.

The part that shocks me most is that I am not asking for much, I am not asking for a payment holiday. I'm not asking for much, all I want is to be recognized as an existing member and to not be treated like a new member with a lengthy waiting period.

I have been struggling multiple months to be reinstated as a member after they assured me that I could pause my payments and then not receive any of their coverage for that period , but that as soon as I paid for those months in full I would be reinstated as a full fledged member. I wholeheartedly believe that the pressure that Affinity Health put on Hello Peter to remove my previous review was solely because the truth was insulting and that our truth was so morbid and crude, that it didn't meet hello peters rules and regulations. Albeit morbid it was the pure truth and I hope that this version of our story is watered down enough to suit their rules.

Regards

Thank you for raising your concerns with us.

Kindly note that when the Complaint was received from your Father, he was contacted to provide us with more information and he advised that it was your policy. You were then contacted on the same day and Affinity Health confirmed that a form of assistance had been provided to members that had reached out to us who were facing difficulties in the first few months of the initial Lock Down period.
