Terrible service

I had to take my son for a ENT check up.

Now after a previous experience I phoned affinity call centre to make 100% sure that my son will have cover for a ENT visit upon which Regina advised me I do have cover.

Please note I am a single mother so R650 is a lot of money that I cannot afford.

So I took my son for his ENT check-up and send the reimbur*****t forms to Affinity.

On the 1st of July I received a sms stating that my claim has been received and will be processed.

Today on the 15 July I phoned Affinity to query when I will receive my reimbur*****t upon which she same person (Regina) tells me I will not be refunded as they do not cover ENT specialist.

I say again I AM A SINGLE MOTHER WHOM NEEDS THAT MONEY LIKE YESTERDAY ALREADY.

When I asked Regina that I want to speak to a manager she tells me the manager is on luch. When I insisted on speaking to someone she just said look you will not receive this refund.

Previously Affinity cost me R1675 due to a consultant giving me incorrect advise now again they are costing me R675. On the previous occasion they also refuse to give me the recording so they will probably do the same again. Utterly ridiculous

Hello Capita,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

An investigation has been conducted with our Claims Department with regards to your complaint.

An ENT specialist visit is covered in accordance with our benefits however the feedback we have received has indicated the claim was for an Audiology Consultation which unfortunately we do not cover as it is an exclusion on our plan.

Our Customer Care Agent will be in contact with you to provide you with detailed information in regards to this matter.

Kind Regards,
The Affinity Health Management Team
