Polise Canceld

I took up a policy with Affinity Health and Affinity Dental on the 23rd of January 2017. Cancelled the policy on the 25th of January 2017 due to the policy not being a medical aid. They still went ahead and debt my bank account for a monthly premium on the 1st of February 2017 and when I phoned to cancel the lady said the policy is cancelled and then they still deducted the money. Spoke to a guy called Thulani T and he asked me to send back statements as required I send it on the 2nd of February 2017. And to date have not heard a word from him. Phoned again on the 2nd of February 2017 and I spoke to a guy by the name of Bennie. Still no feedback from one of them. Spoke to a lady on the 6th of February 2017 to ask Thulani to phone me again no feedback. Phoned again after I went to the back and had to take time off work where I lose money because I need to go and reverse a debt order that was cancelled and what SHOULD NOT have been deducted from my account had to pay extra fees of R50.00 for the debit order to go off and be reverse. I spoke to a lady that was the first and only one that actually did something to help me. How can one take money for something that was not used and as soon as I hear back from the lady I will demand my recorded phone calls so I can take this up with my layer.

Good day Sandy,

Thank you for taking the time to speak with our Complaints Officer.

Please note that we have reviewed this matter and at cancellation stage your Affinity Health policy was cancelled, however, unfortunately the Affinity Dental policy was not cancelled hence the debit that took place on 01-02-17.

We would like to confirm that the Affinity Dental policy has now been cancelled and a refund of your bank charges is currently in process. As discussed, the premium amount will not be refunded due to the fact that a reversal has already been processed.

We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to you and we trust that you will find the above resolution in order.

Kind Regards,

Affinity Health Management Team

Best regards,
