Non Payment of Medical Emergency

In January I was admitted to Milpark Hospital by Affinity's ambulance service with full Arterial Fibrillation after getting telephonic authorisation from Affinity (Affinity stated that they would pay only their rate as Milpark is not associate Hospital to which I agreed).<br> <br> I was in ER for 7 hours and the Cardiac Care Unit until the next day lunch time and in a regular ward for another day after cardioversion.<br> <br> Affinity have refused to pay a single cent stating that this was not a Medical Emergency ( I wonder what the person who made that decision would say if they experienced a heartbeat of 200bppm for hours)?.<br> <br> In July I was scheduled for a Cardiac Ablation (as a result of what had happened previously) at Sunninghill Hospital - again I checked first with Affinity and the doctor (Dr, Anthony Stanley) sent the necessary reasons etc for the op as requested by Affinity.<br> <br> Once again Affinity has refused a single cent...<br> <br> I am on the Rescue and Day to Day benefit and they claim that I don't qualify for any compensation.<br> <br> What more can I say as Affinty's actions speak for themselves.<br> <br>
