No cover, no explanation!

I joined the comprehensive plan to have full cover but have been declined twice now due to pre-existing condition. How is being born with wisdom teeth a pre-existing condition? I have never had problems in the past but developed pain in the last month and was discovered that I needed an extraction of all 4. I am in pain 24/7 and the longer I wait the greater the chance of serious complications regarding the nerves in my face but they feel I have to wait 6 months. If I knew they would not cover any serious issues I would have never signed up. I don’t trust their great reviews anymore

Good day Michelle S,

Kindly be advised that that a Complaints Officer was in contact with you to discuss your concerns and provide clarity on your plan.
It is important for our members to be aware of all waiting periods applicable to their policies.  Unfortunately, the procedures that you and your child require is related to a pre-existing condition, which carries a 12-month waiting period.

Should you require any further clarification regarding your benefits or waiting periods, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
Affinity Health Management Team

I DO NOT agree that being born with wisdom teeth is a pre-existing condition. The doctor gave supporting doc’s that I never in my life had problems until now but you still use the excuse of pre-existing! I will not accept it!
