No Contact

I was admitted to Casualty at the hospital one evening and was told that Affinity Health rejected the claim as I "was not a member anymore and resigned"! I have had to pay the hospital in the mean time and would like to see if they are going to repay me if I submit a claim. I have had no response to numerous emails sent. My debit order stil goes off religiously though.... Hospitalisation for an operation was approved a month before this episode, but still left me with a R14 571.00 shortfall that I had to pay. The surgeons bill has also been rejected for the operation! I do not understand why claims are rejected. If I am not a member anymore, why take my money every month?

Good day Michael,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us.

We confirm that you have been advised previously that the Maximum benefit was paid out accordingly relating to your hospitalization and hence the shortfall deemed to be patient liability.

Furthermore, we would like to confirm that our Complaints department has been in contact with you regarding your claim and an investigation will be undertaken upon receiving the requested documents as discussed.

Kind regards,

Affinity Health Management Team.
