Misleading Information

AFTER joining Affinity, I found it was NOT a medical aid. At no point in time was this information given to me during the application process. After experiencing a dental emergency, I had to find out at the dentist that my emergency is not covered. The receptionist had the phone on speaker as to enable me to hear the conversation. When I came home, I also phoned Affinity to inquire. The lady at customer care informed me that my emergency was not covered but not to worry, they have an excellent maternity benefit. I asked her if she realise that most people on the senior plan have dentures and maternity is the last thing we need cover for. She still insisted that I must not cancel as I can make use of their maternity benefits. Geez, im 56 years old and maternity benefits are the last thing that I need cover for. The lady from customer care just cut the call on me.
