Misleading, Full of nothingness.

Case 1: After waiting for waiting periods to end I went to the Dr Knowing that affinity would cover the GP Consult( Or So I Thought) as it was stated in the Policies that Affinity covers 100% of GP Visits. About a Month after my GP visit I got an SMS from the GP's room about an Outstanding Balance. Correct me if I am wrong but that is not 100% Paid GP visit. Affinity should not claim they cover 100% of GP visits when they really don't cover their patient completely.

Case 2: After waiting a bit more for some of the other waiting periods to end I sent my Girlfriend to the Dr for back pain. The Dr sent her for X Rays. We called Affinity to make sure that they'd cover us for this procedure, they rep**** "Yes". My Girlfriend then was told by the Receptionists at Radiology that she has to wait for Authorization from Affinity. When the Receptionists finally called her it was only to tell her that we have to pay and then claim back from Affinity Health. We Paid the Radiology department in full hoping that Affinity would refund us in full. I contacted Affinity to get the correct procedure for claiming for the X Rays. I did all the steps they required me to complete for them to process the claim. After all the necessary documents was sent to Affinity (Finally after I tried to accumulate all the correct documents Affinity requires) they processed the claim. A Few hours later I received an Email stating that they will not refund me as the X Rays done are not supported by Affinity. Again do not claim you cover 100% of X Rays if you don't! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Short afterwards I canceled my Policy with Affinity, I have yet to receive a confirmation Email or SMS that this was done. If I do not receive this soon I will go to the Bank and make sure Affinity cannot Debit my account further.

For anyone looking to get cheap medical aid/insurance. Do not Choose Affinity as they are Cheap for a reason. They claim that you are fully covered but this is not the case when push comes to shove they pay as little as they can and you will be left with the headache of big bills.
