Inhumane Treatment - Medical Procedure Declined

What a *******! Please do not consider this medical Insurance at all - If you wish to have adequate medical cover/assurance for medical help when required - do not go this route. The shame of being ill advised and hoping for affordable medical insurance that is unable to cover a prescription worth R60.00 - Little did I know that this is the start of a nightmare. I am now stuck what this team refers to as a pre-existing condition, known to who by who? Absolutely shocking.

Team,

To date, no call back nor response provided even to my appeal letter.

Please may this matter be urgently looked into so I can map away forward at this point, I am seriously thinking of terminating this insurance. Being on this insurance places me at more risk than expected.

Regards,
Affinity Health

R1800.00 Reimbur*****t not concluded - This was for the authorized visit to the gynae which I paid and was advised it will be reimbursed, to date - the matter goes from one agent to the next. Current with Keanu - who has not called me but keeps sending me the same email. I have submitted the reimbur*****t form along with the Dr's invoice (stating IDC code) and copy of the receipt.
I am honestly struggling with getting any help from Affinity it is a shame!
I am reconsidering the decision to sign up for this medical insurance. Two issues pending which will influence my decision to remain on this insurance.
1. Appeal decision to the nonsensical decision to evade cover
2. Reimbur*****t of the gynae consultation fee.

Please can we get some help!

Thanks for my refund.
As per the second decline from the review - please advise if affinity health will cover the recommended surgery when policy is a year old at 30 April 2026?

Dear Karabo,

We understand your concern regarding the outcome of your authorisation request. Please note that pre-existing conditions are subject to a 12-month waiting period, which is an industry standard.

Kindly note that we have not received any cancellation requests, and no recent debit orders have been processed against your account.

A consultant will be in contact with you to provide further assistance.
