Frustrated

I am writing to express my frustration regarding the handling of my wife’s recent medical situation under our current policies with Affinity.

My wife has been experiencing ongoing severe nausea and e***astric pain, leading her GP to issue a referral for urgent evaluation at the hospital. However, the Authorization team informed us that she must first schedule an appointment with a specialist before any authorization can be granted. This requirement is concerning, as my wife is currently in pain and requires immediate medical attention.

While I appreciate the day-to-day benefits provided by Affinity, the process for urgent situations like this seems inadequate. I hold two policies—Rescue and Gold Max—yet I feel they do not provide the necessary support in emergencies.

I will be exploring other providers who can offer more immediate assistance in critical situations.
