Expecting the Member to do all the work while Affinity is the ones with the problem

I already complained about Affinity Health once (9 Oct 2017). So they responded and phoned me back saying they will make an exception for me since we have been with them for mor than a year. They will cover the tonsillectomy if it is done at a day clinic. I said i dont want just any docter to operate on my child. They then said a day clinic will be given to me in my area and i then have to find out from the docter i which to use if he will be willing to go there. Great i accepted that then waited for them to give me the name of the day clinic . Another lady phoned me saying they will send me a message with all the things they need from the docter in order to get everything approved. Once again i said thats fine i will get it. The next day i still didnt have a day clinic name. The email they send to me said they following"Kindly note that the specialist who will be doing the procedure needs to be notified by you and requested to operate in the day clinic to be disclosed shortly." When i asked them they told me i have to phone the docter and ask him if he wil be able and willing to go to the day clinic great no problem i will phone him and ask for everything they need but seriously WHAT DAY CLINIC??? How do you ask someone if they will be willing and able to go to a day clinic to perform a tonsillectomy on your child if you dont know the name of the day clinic??? So affinity is not only taking a monthly premium from us they expect me to phone back and forth using my own airtime and money while affinity is not willing to cover the procedure in a normal hospital. Since it is affinity healths idea to do it at a day clinic why dont they phone back and forth and use their money and airtime to get everything they need for the authorisation?? I dont care if it is an exception or not we pay alot of money for my DAUGHTER (not Son as they keep on reffering to her as my Son) to be on this insurance so that if she needs to go to a hospital or have an operation it will be covered but no they dont cover any operations if the patient doesnt have to stay a night in the hospital.

And what is up with a child only gets one specialist apointment a year?? Thats horrible. They should seriously change that to a few more.

Non the less i cancelled our subscription with affinity health because it truely is a waist of money and time. They expect us to settle for less than what we signed up for. If i wanted my child in a day clinic i never would have signed up with affinity health so her hospital costs, if we needed,it would be covered.

Very unsatisfied customer
