Double debit

I hve been with Affinity Health for more than a year for my sons aged 3 and 13 .The service has been exceptional throught and because of that my husband and I decided to off board from all our other medical aid and use affinity health. Our new policy inception date was 1st January 2026 but circumstances hindered us from paying the premium after careful consideration and financial recovering we re activated the insurance for myself and the kids ,while on the call we had agreed that there would be no outsanding owing fees and that new Inception date would be 1st March with premuim of R2,746 which i was happy with. But on the 26th to my demise i was debitted twice the premuim amount and an additional R4,474. I called the call centre to advise and the re directed me to the finance department who acknowledged the mistake and advised that they would request an urgent refund as I needed the funds to commute to work .The consultant advised that refund usually takes 7-14 working days and I mentioned that I would not be able to wait that long .She then advised that she would call me back once she had spoken to the relavent parties .I received no call and then took ownership to call.I was advised to call back Monday as the relevant department had alresdy knocked off.And im left stranded with no feedback ,no money and high possiblity of no job because i cant commute to work

Hi Affinity
As this matter is urgent, I contacted the call centre to follow up on my refund, as I am currently at home and unable to return to work. The agent attempted to transfer me to the complaints department; however, this could not be done due to technical issues.I was later contacted by Hlengiwe, who advised that she had only received my complaint today and that it would still require investigation, with a turnaround time of 21 days. I reiterated that I could not wait that long for feedback. Her response, delivered in a nonchalant manner, was that there was nothing she could do.Only after I explained the extensive efforts I have made to obtain feedback, and that my continued absence from work could result in me losing my job, did I suggest that she at least attempt to contact the finance team to confirm the information I had provided. This would have offered me some reassurance given the distressing position I am currently in. Her responses changed to ''I was goin to do that'' and that she would call me back

Can someone help please
