Debit orders still going off months after cancelling

I app**** for medical aid in October 2017 , I have been paying them and in April 2018 I decided to cancel as I have never used my medical aid and would prefer not paying for something I never use and only have incase something happens to me. I sent and email to the same email address that initially sent my policy documents and cancelled with immediate effect seing as I have never used the medical aid I dont owe them anything and would prefer putting the monthly premiums into a savings account. Since cancelling in May 2018 my account is still being debited monthly and there if no funds available to debit , which means its returning every month and I have to pay the returned fees !! I phoned the last week of June to find out what is going on and the consultant told me on their side it was never cancelled.

She ensured me she cancelled it but up until now I have not received anything in writing confirming this after another debit order tried to go off end June 2018.

So I was called by the complaints department that told me my policy was only cancelled end June 2018 after I explained above that I cancelled already in May 2018 and when I phoned end of June the lady told me my account was not yet cancelled. I received an email 3 days ago sending me a copy of my cancellation letter but I am still being sent emails and sms saying my account is in arrears !! It is not in arrears I cancelled for end May 2018 affinity failed to log this , this is not my problem. I have never used this policy for anything so there should be no reason to keep harassing me !! STOP THE EMAILS AND SMS'S I DONT OWE AFFINITY ANYTHING ! YOU HAVE BEEN RECEIVING MY PREMIUMS FOR MONTHS AND KEEPING THAT ALREADY SO LEAVE ME ALONE!

So after the last response above. I was contacted again the person apologized and assured everything was in order and I would no longer be receiving calls from affinity. Yesterday Affinity kept trying to phone me. I eventually answered and spoke to someone identifying himself calling from Affinity rescue. I stopped him and told him I have been in contact with the complaints department who assured me I wont be contacted again and that I would appreciate if he not call me again. He kept talking telling me that being without insurance is not a good option I then told him I dont need medical aid I dont use it and have a hospital plan for incase I am hospitilized he kept going on and on. I told him over 6 times I am not interested I cancelled for a reason and to stop bothering me he still kept on talking !! Eventually I told him again that I said I am not interested and Put the phone down. He tried calling again straight after that . Then I received a message saying my policy is in arrears !!! This morning again Affinity health has been trying to call me from early on !!! WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE LEFT ALONE !! I CANCELLED FOR A REASON AND I WOULD NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN !!
