Confused
From the start of the year Affinity health changed their policy for visiting a doctor. We must now phone firstly to speak to a sister who will then decide if you can visit the doctor or not. Sister can decide if you need to see the doctor or alternatively she will issue an prescription witch she then forward to your selected pharmacy. My wife called on the 05/03/2020 and spoke to an operator regarding a prescription that she need for birth control. The operator rudely informed my wife that they don't pay for that. WE KNOW THAT THEY DON'T PAY FOR THAT WE ONLY WANTED AN PRESCRIPTION. My wife was then advised to make an appointment with our doctor for a prescription as the sister can not issue a prescription. This is very confusing having to phone and be treated like this. I feel that the system affinity health is now forcing on us is not only unfair but creates an environment for ********** claims. HOW CAN YOU ISSUE A PRESCRIPTION AND SEND IT TO A PHARMACY WITHOUT SEEING THE PATIENTS. SO IF MY NEIGHBOUR HAS A COLD I CAN PHONE IN AND GET A PRESCRIPTION SENT TO MY PHARMACY AND COLLECT MEDICATION FOR HIM. I FEEL THIS SYSTEM WILL BE ABUSED AND ********** ACTIVITIES WILL TAKE PLACE. After 6 years with affinity health we are now looking for an alternative medical insurance.
