AVOID Affinity Health
Affinity health promises benefits such as unlimited blood tests and x-rays but they do not live up to this. We had to pay for several blood tests and x-rays out of our own pocket while we were members of the scheme. They also refuse to pay for anything that they deem "exploratory" such as an MRI. As a result we also had to pay the full price for a MRI out of our own pocket. We therefore cancelled our membership using the membership number that we were issued by Affinity. But they continued to bill us for more than a year after I cancelled our membership with them. At first they admitted that this was their mistake and promised to refund us but they have since declined to refund us stating that we had a second policy number that wasn't cancelled. To date, after several requests they are unable to send me any proof of this second policy number being communicated to me. I have asked for this issue to be escalated to management but my requests are simply being ignored by their call center. I have now given up on getting my money back from this ********* company and I urge anyone who is considering a policy with Affinity Health to avoid them at all costs!
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us.
Please note that the Affinity Rescue policy was not included in the initial cancellation request, however the reoccurring monthly debit orders should have been noted because the bank sends sms notifications with each transaction.
Therefore, we can confirm that the authority to debit was never cancelled or queried until a year later, and as such, no premiums are refundable.
Kind regards
