AFFINITY STINKS
Had a fall in a pothole while carrying something, which resulted in a hernia in the groin area. I went to a GP who diagnosed the injury and suggested surgery. I contacted Affinity who told me to find a specialist and get a consultation. They would or could not refer me to one who they covered. I found a Specialist, had a consultation, and he confirmed everything to Affinity in writing. To cut a very long unpleasant experience short: I had to pay in R10,000 up front for a 1 day stay in hospital before I could be admitted. Affinity then tried to get me to pay another R5,00 afterwards which I eventually managed to negotiate away. Affinity stated that I had to pay in as they deemed it was not an accident, regardless of the specialists opinion. I also spent nearly 4 weeks trying to get the One Doctor paid who was hounding me for the payment.
COULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING.
