Affinity Health - Specticles hidden terms

Afternoon all, They claim to cover glasses but their terms and hidden costs are not specified on their website at all. I was told that I could only claim for glasses after 1 year which I was fine with. After a year I called and I am told that I can only claim R300 for the frame and R460 for each lens and my current frames and lenses cost me R4800 4 years ago. In addition, they do not cover ANY lens treatment i.e scratch proof, anti-glare etc. Even if I have a letter from the optometrist confirming light sensitivity as a medical condition, they will NOT cover it! So I go to spec savers and they laugh and tell me that they do not sell any frames for under R300 and any bifocal lenses for R460. Therefore, Affinity is misleading the public. They don't cover spectacles claims, they offer a very small discount. Beware people!

Correction, there are frames for R300 but they are the cheapest of the cheap! They literally creek when you action the arms. Mr Potato Head has better quality glasses.

Update. They did phone to confirm that even if you have a doctors letter stating that you have light sensitivity, Affinity will not cover the cost of R2500! to have the lenses tinted. Of course, none of this is mentioned on their website. You have to wait a year to find out their exclusions. Be aware, their statement "we cover your cost of glasses." It is very limited.
