Affinity health refusing to issue authorisation numbers for GP visit and forced me consult to one of their nurses over the phone while I had an emergency and was already at a GP

I’ve got a policy with Affinity health and the process of seeing a GP or going to hospital has always been to call them first for reference number then you can go consult, sometime in 2020 they introduced an option to speak to their nurses and it was not mandatory. Today I had a very sick child that was sent home from school and I quickly went to the GP, upon arriving at the GP, I then called in for an authorisation number and One of the consultants who was assisting me, Ousha, told me that she can’t issue an authorisation number for me until I speak to one of their nurses, who were probably busy assisting other callers, to me this didn’t make sense, that I pay premiums each and every month for a medical society to force me to speak to a nurse that is a phone call away, while I am already at a GP with a very sick child.
