Affinity Health a Bag of disappointment

Affinity Health is a bag of disappointment and lies. I regret the day I signed up with affinity health this brand has failed to deliver they services. Affinity health has been collecting monthly installments from my bank account and my wife has recently getting uncontrollable seizures, which was not an pre-existing illness. She was sent to an Neurologist who advised us that my wife needs to be admitted in hospital and the day my wife was going to be admitted in hospital. My wife couldn't be admitted, affinity health has declined. On the other hand I was double debited on the most recent installment by affinity health on my bank account. I contacted the customer service of affinity health Spoke to Dustin who was not sure what was happening with my policy, who failed to get back with an answer what was delaying to admit my wife. Then I spoke to Skhumbuzo who had an attitude rushing to inform me that my wife will not be admitted in hospital and next thing i had to contact the managing director of affinity health Mr Murray. Even contacting the director no help was offered by affinity health, all supporting documents were provided and till today my wife has not received medical attention

Hello Panda0224,

Thank you for reporting your experience on Hello Peter.

The reason your account was double debited was to catch up the missed payment for December 2014. We can now confirm that your policy is up to date provided the last premium collected will be honoured. We have also communicated this with you.

With regards to the hospital admission, we advised you on Friday that we require the treating doctors report to confirm your wife's condition. To date, we still await this information.

It was also further communicated that we would authorize 2 days stay in hospital and would evaluate the situation based on reports from the treating doctor and hospital. We still await this information.

In addition to this, we have been in contact with your doctor requesting the outstanding info and to date your doctor has not sent this info. We have also communicated this fact with you.

We have again attempted to make contact with you to resolve this matter but your number rings to voice mail. We will continue to attempt contact and advise you of the outstanding requirements.

You may also contact our offices.

Look forward to resolving this matter with you.

Kind regards
Affinity Health Mng Team
