Affinity Health

Be careful of Affinity Health, worst cover ever and there service is below shocking. They request information and when you provide the information, they request other information just not to pay your claim. Hospitals doesn't trust Affinity due to bad pay experience and I had to pay deposits with two different hospitals twice already due to that. The cheaper premiums you pay means you get cheaper cover. When you need to claim, it will still cost you thousands and thousands that you have to pay. Many claims are not even covered. Make sure you put money aside for the days you need to claim.

Good Day Raymond

Please be advised that all documentation requested from the member at claim stage is required in order for the claims to be assessed.

We can confirm that Affinity Health has honoured all claims received according to the applicable benefit and protocol.

It is important to note that should a hospital require more than the amount on the Guarantee of Payment provided, the hospital will request the amount from the member to protect their risk.

We can further confirm that a Complaints Officer was in continuous communication with you to assist and provide you with accurate feedback.

Kind Regards
Affinity Health Management Team

Don't believe what is written above. The hospital did not ask for an amount due to the reasons above, they requested I pay a deposit due to the bad pay experience from Affinity. Also don't believe the so called all documentation are requested at claim stage. If this is true why did Affinity ask for more documents after I provide what they requested. Go listen to the telephone recording and hear what was requested. It is utter lies by Affinity.

Please believe me what Affinity say above is not a true reflection of the events. If someone what proof of my facts, they are welcome to contact me. I have more than enough proof of the problems I have experienced. You get what you pay for, cheap service.

Please also ensure that you do not end in hospital or require pre authorisation on a weekend. I needed pre authorisation for a procedure that needed to happen on a Monday. On the Saturday I was told by Affinity to put the procedure on hold as no one can provide pre authorisation on a Saturday. Because I did not wanted to take the risk of putting the procedure on hold, I had to pay until Affinity could provide authorisation. It is easy to say certain cost were covered afterwards, but what about the members who are not able to pay the deposit at the hospital or pay for the procedure in advance and wait for Affinity. I feel sorry for those members of Affinity. And it is not me saying hospitals had a bad pay experience with Affinity and they struggle to get there money form Affinity. Speak to the hospitals and they will tell you this.
