Affinity does nothing but lie

When you take out cover with Affinity they promise that if you need medical care it would be covered. That was my biggest concern, if anything happened to us that we are able to get the medical care needed and we were assured that everything in hospital would be covered. So needless to say we didnt hesitate to sign up on the combined plan for our family paying almost R4000. Now that I need urgent surgery done I am told that they will only cover R10 000 for the hospital! They also wanted a quote for the whole procedure to decide "if the claim would be admitted". That in itself sounded fishy to me when I heard it yesterday. The cost of the hospital is R22 000, so they are not even covering half!! Nevermind the surgeons fee of almost R8 000 and the anaesthetist of almost R3 000!!! So total misleading information and advertising!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON AFFINITY, YOU WILL REGRET IT when you discover that they only sell lies when you need it the most!!! And please dont come back to me about **** like the maximum amount will be covered according to the policy. Maximum amount is not less than half just hospital admission. Dont tell people everything in hospital would be covered when that's a blatant lie. We will definitely be canceling with Affinity and I will tell everyone on every platform not to fall for the same trap we did with Affinity
