I joined Affinity on the 1st of October 2017 for me and my family. My daughter and wife had to go to a dentist on the 2nd of January 2018. My daughter had a procedure done which was not covered by affinity which is fine but my wife had a tooth extracted which should be covered after 3 months, which was after 3 months. My wife enquired about work on her front teeth to which the dentist advised that affinity does not cover for front teeth. Which is strange as because my wife told the agent from Affinity that she needs work on her front teeth. They never said it was not covered. When I emailed them, they simply said that we will attend to your query soon. That was 3 weeks ago. I have followed up by email 2 times to which there was no response. further to this Affinity emails me the price for the procedures and it it said my wife's extraction was R703. Which again, does not make sense as it is supposed to be covered. I enquired about the price also to which I had no response. I'm going to cancel with them later today and take the matter further with the health ombudsman and see what legal action can be taken.
