The list of doctors and dentists that one can pick from in Cape Town do not inspire confidence. When I cancelled this insurer, they continued charging me for the dental cover. I had a recording of the conversation in which I clearly cancelled all cover, but they still refused to repay. It was eventually resolved after I complained to the ombudsman for short term insurance. Also, because they are an insurance provider, it means you cannot claim tax for your contributions. Medical Aid schemes also do not recognise them so your time with Affinity are not taken into account when you join another medical aid sheme.
