Private Providers let down by Opportunists

I am the parent of a second year student at AFDA - the Film & Television School. I have been trying for TWO months now to make contact via phone calls, messages to return my calls and even emails to question the quality of lecturing and teaching, the lack of adequate supervision of first and second year students and the clear proof of sheltered employment in their employment strategy in some of their faculties, rather than a universal policy of securing the services of excellent T&D practitioners. I was warned when agreeing to enroll my daughter there that AFDA was smoke and mirrors but bought into their marketing campaign and the list of graduates making it in the world of Film & Television. It seems that most of the profile AFDA has built for itself is due to the quality of the student rather than any beneficiation on the part of AFDA. R 200 000 later with still a year to go and I am worried about the Value Proposition AFDA market? The owners at AFDA seem to confuse facilitating a collaborative environment with relinquishing their obligations to teach, guide, supervise and quality assure. I have to ask HOW and WHY AFDA were accredited by SAQA in the first place?
