So a friend of mine used to be part of the abomination that is AFDA (yes I can't believe he agreed to torture himself like that). AFDA Film School is just the worst kind of scheme ever - exaggerating the institution's success, slave labour (staff exploitation) and false promises (breaking students hearts). Staff are overworked and underpaid, there is no OT nor benefits, the salary extremely poor when compared to other PVT schools. Apparently experience does not count when applying for job be it external applicant or internal, it is all about whose butt you're kissing and just how low you're prepared to go in terms of your self respect and honour. My friend had to comprise his values a great deal and tolerate quite a bit of sh$% from Afda even when he knew better. The ******** is disgusting and must end...

Fees are also farRrr toOoo high for the experience that students are getting. Afda's marketing strategy is really good... You see, they reel students in by having a few industry Has-Beens represent the institution even though they themselves have no real experience in education. Afterwards, the student's experience does not meet/match their expectation - the good ol' bait and switch...

Most staff members, more than half of the Staff are quit talented, dedicated, educated and passionate. It is the devils at the very top of the pyramid who are sucking the life out of these hardworking men and women.The pay gap is ********* too, especially when we consider the fact that the "soldiers on the ground" keep the machine turning and not the upper-folk.

Some of these "top of the pyramid" individuals do not have the maturity, experience, qualification, poise and grace to be leading from the front, but face us everything to AFDA. It is only because of their industry "experience" that they are automatically plonked at the top. These people are just the worst - insecure, *********, petty and ************* to the core. They make the lives of other staff members difficult, and they promise students the stars but cannot deliver. They poison everything and everyone. They are deeply unhappy and in need if constant affirmation and praise.

People thinking of working at Afda or send their kids to Afda need to think twice.
