Prisma Water Heater
There is a water heater, the Kwikot Prisma, with contains a kamikaze diode (it is actually called the sacrificial diode). Unless this diode is changed, or checked or whatever, every six months, this water geyser will burst.
It is all there in the manual, so don't even try to get any compensation or even sympathy. I am not sure how many people get their plumbers in every six months to check their water heaters. I was certainly never informed of this by my plumber and if I had been I would certainly not have purchased this expensive heater.
So Buyer Beware!

17 Feb 2021, 09:12I do not know where you got your information from. The Diode you are referring to is actually an Anode, and we merely recommend to replace the anode every 1 -3 years depending on the water quality in your area, which can be obtained from your local authority

This was from your office, and really, anode, diode whatever. You insist on making the consumer look stupid, but at the end of the day I am the person sitting with a useless device which nobody will take responsibility for. I am surprised you sell any of these things at all. As I told your representative in my email, I personally know two other people who had exactly the same problem with this item.

A plumber (God help me) is coming tomorrow to reconnect my plumbing to my ancient geyser. I simply do not want anyone else to be caught like I was. If you carry on selling that device you should build into the price a free check every however many months or years it needs checking, once you make up your minds how often that is.
