EMPTY PROMISES AND NO SERVICE

AEG has to be the worst company to deal with in this country. Their after-sales service is non-existent and in fact borders on dishonesty. We purchased a top-of-the-range steam oven from Hirsch’s and within the warranty period the oven cavity was found to be faulty, which resulted in the oven having to be replaced. After approximately 18 months the second oven was also found to be faulty with corrosion inside the cavity. After being inspected and photographed by an AEG technician, it was decided by AEG the this oven also needed to be replaced, and we were put in touch with Kitesh and we were told that the new oven would be delivered the following week. And so began a 6 month run-around on the promise of the “new oven” to be delivered. At no time did AEG ever follow up on our calls, and we always had to contact them. In desperation, we contacted Hirsch’s who also promised to follow up, but they too, soon lost interest and we were left with empty promises from both AEG and Hirsch’s. We have now given up on the promise of a new oven, but would like to let everyone know that AEG do not follow up on their promises. Having read through all the bad reports about AEG on this site, I can only resolve not to ever purchase an AEG product again and will never recommend their products to anyone.
