AEG dishwasher blues...

I bought an AEG FFB8290CPM dishwasher recently, based on the claim to offer low water and power usage with an energy rating A, Cleaning performance A, Drying performance A and water consumption per cycle 10 litres. What a crock. Of the 8 options available there is only one ("Intensive") that makes the water hot enough to dissolve the detergent. According to the manual, this cycle uses 17,5 litres of water and 1,6 kWh as opposed to the standard "ECO" cycle which supposedly uses 10 litres and 0,93 kWh. In addition, the layout of the baskets is poor. There is a tray at the top for cutlery, below this a basket for cups, glasses etc; anything taller than a cup snags the cutlery tray and if you lower the basket using the clips at the sides it doesn't leave enough room for dinner plates in the bottom basket. I looked at a YouTube video from AEG in the UK with a lady explaining that you can lower one side of the cup basket, but then it doesn't align with the water supply to the rotating arm under the basket. The fact that this video was produced by AEG is possibly a sign that there have been complaints about the machine in Europe. My advice is to avoid this machine, I've paid the school fees and will rather go for Samsung or LG in future.
