<p>My motor vehicle broke down without any warning. I have a Platinum warranty for the motor vehicle with AMP. I took the vehicle to be fixed, but now AMP are refusing to pay for the repairs. The repairs come to +/- R12-000, but they only want to pay R3-000. I have engine cover of R35-000 and overheating cover of R85-000, so the costs of repairing the motor vehicle should be covered in full.</p> <p> </p> <p>They are looking for reasons to not pay for the repairs, claiming that i should have taken reasonable care of the car. The car was last serviced on 08/08/2016. There was no warning signs, the car just shut down. The car had never overheated, nor had warning lights come on in the car. On what basis are they saying that i knew the car was going to break down. No one drives a car if they know it is going to break down.</p> <p> </p> <p>Hollard is the underwriter for AMP and being a mulimillion rand company it baffles me how they can be associated with AMP who are hellbent on taking peoples money and failing to provide a world class warranty service to its clients. Its sad that I as a paid up client and law abiding citizen of South Africa have to be subjected to this pathetic service when I and my family need them most. Im sure there are many more clients out there who have been **********. Shame on you Hollard.</p>
