Reject warranty claim

My vehicle is covered by AMP warranties. Recently I submitted my very first claim since the vehicle was purchased for a ''Humming'' wheel bearing. Not stipulated in their little booklet that the waiting period for processing the claim is 24 working hours. After my vehicle was at the repair workshop for nearly 3 days, the feedback from them was that the claim has been rejected due to so called ''Normal Wear and Tear'', although the booklet stipulate that the claim value for a wheel bearing is R 4000-00. My question to them was, why? The answer, as we said ''Normal Wear and Tear'' and should you have problem, kindly send a message to our complaints department. My message was e-mailed to the complaints department of AMP warranties and since I am waiting now for two weeks for any feedback from them with a follow up re-sent to them. I will definitely not do business with AMP Warranties again or even recommend AMP Warranties to other.

Really!!! Why all of a sudden the quick response now from you??? Several e-mails were sent to you, which I marked as read. Each e-mail sent was read, but unfortunately with no response and ignorance from you. After placing my complaint here, now you require information in order to investigate further. In my e-mails sent, I also mentioned that I am willing to accommodate with a certain percentage to be paid by myself against the repairs, which was also rejected by you. I would suggest you look into your rejection history for October 2017 (Gauteng - East Rand) and then refer to claims, which were rejected or will this be too much work for you due to a majority of claims rejected. Now you request personal information from me. Do you really think that I will step blindly onto a mouse trap?? For your information, at the end of the day, I paid the full amount to the RMI workshop to get my vehicle repaired by replacing the wheel bearing.. Should you wish to proceed with an investigation, refer to your employee, KG Lehabe.

Thank you for your response. Kindly explain your ''Fine Print'' explanation of your letter sent in a more understandable way in order for our policy holders to understand better. Refer your letter sent, item 3: Exclusions from Cover:- The insurer does not accept liability for the cost of repairs or replacement: For wear and tear not resulting in actual mechanical failure. Above mentioned does not make any sense to me. Your little booklet refer to a maximum cover of R 4000-00 for a wheel bearing failure. My questions:- * How is this possible that you can determine that the cause was by ''Normal Wear and Tear'' if no assessor has inspected my vehicle? * Why was your little booklet fine print not explained properly by the seller of your policy? (If this was explained properly, I would definitely refused to waste any money on your policy by accept to taken out such a warranty). I am sure by taking out a warranty when purchase a vehicle, this is relief for each and every person to know that you covered should a failure occur, but unfortunately with your warranty this does not happen. As mentioned previously, I already paid the full amount myself and do not think that the payment done will make me more poorer. Also as mentioned, in future I will definitely ''NOT'' even consider to purchase your warranty policy due to that this is an absolute waste of money and so will this be forwarded to other consumers.
