In December I accepted a payment on a Diners Club Card from a customer at my small business. In January I noticed that that payment had not cleared in my account. SureSwipe did not tell me that there was any additional requirements or agreement to be able to accept payments from Diners Club (if this was hidden somewhere in their agreement, they still haven't shown me where). In fact, when I signed up, the SureSwipe representative lead me to believe that if a payment went through on the POS device, I didn't need to worry about anything. Not so it seams.

This all wouldn't be a problem if SureSwipe had contacted me and informed me of the process I needed to follow in order to get my money. BUT I had to nag them more than a few times to get an answer. It seems their consultants didn't know about these Diners Club transactions either! If I hadn't followed up on this it seems SureSwipe would have just kept my money.

Now I'm told that I have to sign up with Diners Club in order to get my money. I don't want to sign up with Diners Club because their terms and conditions make me feel like I'm signing over my bank account to them.

This isn't the first issue I've had with SureSwipe. I'm still waiting for the previous issue to be resolved too (a transaction went through when the machine said that it was declined). Thier statements are indecipherable and it's nearly impossible to check that they are not over charging you. And I'm a small business, it must be even more complicated for bigger businesses with hundreds of transactions a month. When I mentioned that if their statements were itemised it would make me feel a lot more comfortable they just say that it's not possible. That's bull because everyone else gives itemised statements.

I'll be taking my business to Yoko or iKhoka. I hear they're cheaper and offer more anyway.

This is an anonymous website. It's very unprofessional of you to use my name. After all, you only know who I am since I informed you of this review. I only informed you to give you the oportunity to rectify the problem quickly so that I could remove the review and save you some negative media. It seems you're not worried about negative media and are in no hurry to sort out this problem you have created for me.
How long should I expect it to take for you to "investigate the matter"? It's been 4 months now and I'm still waiting for my R2900 from the transaction in December 2016.
An employee of mine accidentally processed another payment with a Diners Club card and I'm still waiting to be notified by Sureswipe that they haven't paid me for this transaction. Where is that money? Who's earning the interest on it? And would you just keep the money if I hadn't noticed? I wonder who else's money has been kept if they're not checking that every single transaction clears in their account.

Hi sir
We are deeply sorry for your frustration and are still in the process of finalising the Diner’s Club contract between Sureswipe.
The update is as follows:
We had previously requested for you to sign up with Diner’s Club directly to get your funds settled much faster. On our Sureswipe machines we allow for Diner’s Club transactions to be processed, but we do not settle the funds as Diner’s settle their funds directly. In order to get all your funds settled, we requested that you sign a contract with Diner’s Club to help get your money settled into your account.
We are in the process of finalising the Diner’s Club contract with Sureswipe, but the process has not been completed as yet. Should you refuse to sign up with Diner’s club and wait for our contract to be finalised with them, your settlement period will be delayed again. Please be aware of the repercussions.
Please note, Sureswipe does not hold the funds that you swipe with Diner’s Club, which is why we keep advising you to please sign a contract with them to get settled faster, should any of your other employees make another mistake on Diner’s transactions. We do our best to ensure you have all the tools to access your statements through online reporting as we are very cognisant of helping you to grow your business.
