My daughter used the 7 day trial period of Adobe. We battled to sign up for it initially. And between the two of us, we used 3 emails accounts (and gave our bank card details) to register due to error messages. Because my daughter didn't take up the course/module offered at her college, she had no use for this software and cancelled it within the trial period. All in June 2019. We received the confirmation email from Adobe the 3 July 2019. But since then they charged my credit card on 2 July 2019, 2 Aug 2019 and 2 Sept 2019. They charged my daughter's bank account 11 July 2019 and 4 Aug 2019 and they also charged her 2nd savings account 1 July 2019, 1 Aug 2019 and 1 Sept 2019 ...8 payments of $20.99 pm .., total $167.92, about R2 518. Today I was chatting on their website requesting a refund. They refuse. They claimed that no monies were charged to the email accounts. Then I copied and paste their email into their chat box ...so they offered free use for the next 3 months...I said I dont need it ...then they offer 1 month refund...then they ask me to verify the emails for the refund and then ask to verify the email again ..just to tell me the email is wrong. This carried on for 3 hours. We went in circles. I was beginning to think that its a conspiracy for us to sign up, to battle, to use other emails and quote our bank card details etc. what is sad that these are large corporations, s****fully de*****ing us. even when I asked for an email address so I could forward bank statements and their emails to us they refused to allow us this method of communication. Adobe Revenue 2018 $9 billion... The banks advised us to close our accounts and that we will not succeed in recovering these payments. It reminds of the R99 debit orders that was going off our accounts *******ly whilst the banks didnt do much to assist ...So beware ... dont even trust these large corporations
