Deposit not refunded
I paid R25000.00 deposit for a bed of R55000.00 in 2021to adjust4sleep ,balance was to be paid on delivery, meantime I lost my job, immediately the company was informed of the situation and I won’t be able to proceed with the deal and requested the refund of deposit. Their advice was to raise the minimum of R14000.00 to secure the deal. I informed them I have tried without any success.
In 2024 again requested the company to refund they refused.please assist.

24 Jun 2025, 08:25Dear Thabo,
You placed your order on February 2021 for a custom built adjustable bed. We built the bed for you to the specifications of your order and attempted to deliver the bed on a number of occasions and each time you requested that we delayed the delivery. In September 2021, 8 months after your purchase, you requested to cancel the order citing "financial crisis" but no mention of losing a job but referencing you were a pensioner. While we commiserate with your changes in financial situation, we had built a bed to your specifications and stored it for 8 months. As we had already made the bed and we would most likely make a loss having to sell it at a reduced price as it is custom built to your specifications, or have to dispose of the bed frame to re-use some of the components, we offered it to you at a reduced price so that we could clear it from our warehouse and you declined this offer. Your deposit was therefore retained to defray expenses and the same would happen with any furniture supplier that manufactures custom goods for their clients.
We wish you the best for the future.
Kind regards
The Team at Adjust4Sleep
