Unhappy Customer
On the 01st of November 2024, I went to your Adidas store Mall of the South to purchase a new running shoe. I explained to the salesperson that I would like a proper running shoe that is not going to give me blisters and he reassured me that what I'm buying is the best and should I have any complaints after the run, I should return the shoe. Indeed I did my 21km on the 03rd of November 2024, two days after I bought the shoe. The shoe was uncomfortable and it gave me blisters. I went in the store to return it saying that it's not the best comfortable shoe to have. The till lady explained that clause on the slip and I explained to her that I read it but the sales person reassured me that should I not find comfort I should return it. I even suggested that the shoe be taken back to the factory if there is a sole missing. She took a plastic and tested it but she could not feel muc. She called her line managers / store managers and they requested that she take a video and send it. From there they said they will take it through to Adidas SA. I asked to speak to whoever she is speaking to as the response I'm getting was not satisfying. She then gave me the phone and the lady on the other end was very rude. That's why the lady at the till was so scared in her response to me. The woman on the line said I'm shouting at her and I told her that I'm not shouting but frustrated and aggrieved and she said "I Do Not Care". I was so shocked by her response and asked again that's how you speak to your customers and she repeated the same I do not care sentence. I was very disturbed at her response, I asked for her name to take this matter further, to say that Adidas stores don't take care of their customers but rather are rude to customers. She said her name is Bernice Macback, not sure of the spelling of her surname, as she was just irritated talking to me. I told the lady at the till that I'm leaving the shoes and slip and I would await on Adidas SA.
I'm writing to ask that Adidas SA intervene as I believe that was not the way to treat a customer who was promised false hope.
