Sour Taste over purchase from a well known brand..

About a week ago I purchased a pair of sandals on the Adidas website. For the last 40 years my sandal size has been UK 11. When their site showed UK 11 available, I made my purchase. It was just what I wanted and there was a very good discount offered.

A few days later I received my delivery. When I put them on I found them quite tight. I thought, OK, the material will stretch a little and they will be fine. A few days later I was going to visit my neighbor and tried to put them on. They would not fit at all. I was horrified. On closer inspection, I saw a small label on the inside of one strap. I read the following: Made in ................................ Just below that it stated US11 UK11 etc. I was again horrified. Having personally been in the shoe business many years ago, I knew that US and UK sizes were different. A US11 is in fact a UK10. However, they advertised it as a UK11 on the website. When I brought this to their attention, I received their standard refund response stating that I could exchange them or purchase something else at the Adidas store as long I it was still in the full packaging as received. They obviously did not read my email properly as I stated that I no longer had the full packaging. I have also informed them the I have lost a lot of money as a pensioner and I will never purchase anything from them again. The moral of this incident - be very careful when purchasing clothing/footwear online. Get them to verify in writing what you are expecting to receive in terms of sizes.
