Shoes broke after 9 mo. Store **** about respondin

I purchased a pair of Adidas running shoes about 9 months ago. I only used them for jogging to the gym and then working out there. There is no noticeable wear-and-tear anywhere on the shoes because they are sturdy and I've been looking after them.<br> <br> But two weeks ago a support strap on the side snapped clean in half while I was putting them on. Given the good state of the shoes this has to be a manufacturing fault of some kind.<br> <br> According to the Adidas website unusual breakages are covered under a 2 year warranty so I took them back.<br> <br> The staff at the store initially tried to palm me off. They then said that they would need to speak to the regional manager. They took my shoes, and my till slip, and all my details and said they'd get back to me in a few days.<br> <br> That was two weeks ago.<br> <br> I really don't feel like going back there and arguing with them again, it's not the kind of person I am. But they aren't giving me much choice.<br> <br> I buy Adidas training shoes EXCLUSIVELY, because in my experience they are the best.<br> <br> But if I'm going to have to spend a thousand Rand on training shoes every few months I'm going to have to start going somewhere else :/
