Poor Quality Shoes...broken after wearing them just a few times!

I was gifted a beautiful pair of Adidas MTB cycling shoes. However after only a few rides the outer covering / skin of the shoe started to peel off. However, I could live with this, as MTB shoes are meant to be rugged and dirty. Then few rides later, midway through a ride, the entire sole of the shoe ripped clean out of the shoe. So i had the shoe on my foot, while the sole and cleat were left clipped into my pedal. Again i thought i must have just got a defective shoe. I taped up the shoe and then on the very next ride the EXACT same thing happened to the OTHER shoe!!! So now I have a pair of Adidas cycling shoes that both shoes are completely broken and useless. I have photos (and the shoes to prove it). I am seriously disappointed in the quality of the shoes and how they have been made!!
