Not allowed to return within the return period

On Tuesday, 05/01/16, I purchased a jacket for R599 from your branch in Rosebank Mall as a gift for someone and was helped in the store by Zanelle Mqambeli. I told her at the time that it was a gift and I may need to return it. It did not fit so I went back to return it nine days later (Thursday, 14/01/16) with the receipt and labels still attached. The receipt says, \Goods must be returned within 30 days of purchase/ conditions apply."<br> At this point I was informed that I could not return the jacket for a cash refund because it was more than seven days after purchasing the item and I could only exchange the jacket for something else in the store.
