No Spares Backup

Some time ago, I bought 2 pairs of Adidas Terrex shoes One brown and the other grey. The shoes are very comfortable and durable, however the time has come to renew the laces. I have searched for laces in 2 Adidas stores in Fourways Crossing and Fourways Mall, in Footgear, Levingers, Tekkie Town, Sportsmans Warehouse and Nike All of these were unable to provide laces. I then contacted Adidas customer service in Cape Town and spoke to Nicolaas Vorster who eventually referred me to Stratos Mavroudis. These gentlemen apparently made exhaustive enquiries, but were unable to source laces. The only solution seems to be to buy new shoes all for the want of laces? This is like a car manufacturer importing vehicles with no spares back up and Adidas should be refused import permits until they can provide product support. Jon van Zetten
