"Negligence"

<p>in December I bought a pair of adidas x15+ primeknit soccer boots with a retail price of 2500 rand from a shop in fordsburg which has been very good over the years and I have not had any problems with them. However after playing in the boots for only 3 and a half months despite doing everything the wear and care instructions that come with the boots had told me to do the boots started to fall apart with the front part of the studs detaching from the actual shoe. When I took the boot back to the shop even the employees couldn't believe a boot of this qaulity and price had broken so easily they told me that they would have to send them to the adidas rep and he would then decide what to do. The adidas rep said that the boots had fallen apart due to negligence and water damage despite me looking after my boots to the required specifications, I have been buying adidas boots for the last four years now and not one of them has broken being treated in exactly the same way. Surely a boot worth 2500 rand should last at least a season and be able to withstand a bit of water. I am very disappointed with adidas and quite upset that they won't replace my boots. My league games have just started and they are already broken I believe that they were defective from the start as they should have never broken after 3 months of playing in these boots. I have always regarded adidas as the best brand for soccer but now I will have to think twice before ever purchasing a new pair of adidas soccer boots or any product for that matter which I am extremely upset about because they have given me many years of qaulit however now I am highly disappointed at the after sale service </p>
