Don't pay for overnight shipping on https://shop.adidas.co.za/

I ordered a pair of SUPERSTAR SHOES and I paid an R60 for overnight shipping but I am yet to receive it 2 days later.

The reason why I paid extra is because it is supposed to be a Christmas gift for my brother and I was supposed to send it on the 15th.

My main question is, why should I then pay the R60 if it takes just as long to get it as normal shipping (free for an order over R400) which would have taken just as long to arrive if I hadn't paid extra.
