Disappointment on Lack of Females XL Two Oceans T-shirts

Good Morning. I would like to state my disappointment, disbelief and frustration with regards to the Two Oceans clothing which was manufactured by Adidas. I have lost 35kgs in the past year and a bit and have taken up running as a sport. This year was my first Two Oceans and I was incredibly excited to get myself a Two Oceans T-shirt and wear with pride due to the fact that I was a couch potatoe all my life and never ran more than 100m ever. I opted no for a T-shirt on registration as the sizing of females apparel is somewhat embarrassing and not true to the South African standards of female build. I was one of the first at the expo on day 1 so I could fit and purchase an XL females T-shirt. Low and behold no stock, the biggest size available was L. I fitted it on but it was just too tight and refused to spend R350 on something I won’t be comfortable in. I further looked at the other apparel as I would’ve liked the long sleeve T to run in during winter - alas I sat with the same issue. Biggest size was L. I was prepared to buy quite a few things but was so disheartened at the fact that nothing absolutely nothing in that expo for females was XL! Do you think it’s fair? Do you think it’s nice that a bigger girl cannot be kitted out the same as the smaller/skinny girls? The friendly sales assistant said why don’t I purchase the males T-shirt and shop around in their department, Very kind gesture but why should I? Why should I wear an unflattering T-shirt because the company that manufactured the T-shirt’s only thought this race is for “skinny/thin” people and very few to NO XL T-shirt’s. Why should someone that is proud of her weight loss and was excited that for the first time in forever she could ditch the men’s sizes and sport a females top at the most prestigious race on the calendar. This is a serious issue and I am confident I speak on behalf of many voluptuous females in this disappointment/dissatisfaction and possibly bordering ************** to the “bigger girls”. I spoke to whom I assume was a manager at the expo who wasn’t very helpful he was too busy cashing up a sale, be that as it may, I was told Zando had none, the pop up shop at UCT had none and no contact number was given for your office perhaps somewhere there was an XL for me. I got absolutely no customer satisfaction from the pop up shop manager so in all the experience which was meant to be the most amazing one turned into a disappointment. I would also like to add that they said the apparel will be available in stores soon but at a more expensive price than online or at the pop up shop! I would like feedback with regards to this unhappiness as I feel as a more voluptuous female we cannot be shunned due to the fact that we are bigger boned. Regards A very discouraged voluptuous woman
